UPGRADES & RESTORATIONS

Miss that snappy and responsive feeling? Running out of space for photos? Don’t panic: we can help. One of our favorite things to do is to help you love an old Mac again. Sometimes a clean operating system install, RAM upgrade or replacing an old hard drive with a solid state drive (SSD) can prevent you from sending your Mac out for recycling.

ON-SITES

Wireless networking, router installation, printer troubleshooting, computer set-up, smart home support, we’ve got you covered! Our experts provide superior service and support, not only at our shop but also on-site at your place. We make it easy and convenient for businesses and offices to get Apple-friendly support from our experts, whenever and wherever. If you’re having tech trouble at home, we’ll swoop in to address the issue.

TRAINING

If you’ve ever gotten a new tech toy, opened it up and been completely confused by how to use it, you’re not alone! Maccentric is here to help. Through training, we’ve helped countless Mac users become experts, just like us. Here’s how:

1-on-1 Training

If you need to learn a specific program or you have a wide range of questions across many topics, personalized training is perfect for you. Maybe you’re switching from Windows to Mac or Android to iPhone and need to learn the ropes? If so, welcome to our club!

Tell us exactly what you want to learn and we can make it happen. Whether you set an appointment at Maccentric or we come to your home or office, our goal is to get you up to speed. Just make a list of what you would like to learn and we’ll make you a pro.

Classroom Training

Everyone knows that learning in a group has benefits and it’s fun! We regularly offer courses including Mac 101 & 102, iOS, iPhoto (including a photography basics presentation), Photoshop 101 and many more. Follow us on Facebook or sign up for email updates to learn about new classes and to RSVP.

If your business needs training, we can put something together that’s specialized to your needs, as well. We can even come to your office, minimizing downtime and maximizing your crew’s knowledge.

CONSULTING

Our superpower is our deep knowledge of all things Apple and we’re just a phone call away. Who wouldn't want expert advice on buying a new printer, deciding which Mac is right for your business, or selecting the perfect iPhone model to meet your needs? If only there were an elite force of specialists…like Maccentric!

We ensure that you are given the best advice within your budget, even maximizing your existing equipment (Apple or not!). Sometimes, a program or a small upgrade is all that’s needed. Because we do not sell products you can be assured that we’re looking for the best most cost-effective solution.

BEFORE YOU COME IN…

Let’s make it easy. You don’t need an appointment but here are a few things that you should know before you come in:

  • You may be charged a diagnostic fee. Depending on the kind of repair or service, you may be charged a $149 diagnostic fee that will be directly applied toward labor, parts or other costs associated with your repair. That’s up to an hour of support from our trusted, Apple-certified experts.

  • Backup your data. We can backup your data for you but having your own back up saves time and prevents future data loss.

  • Turn off Find My iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc. It is required by Apple that we disable Find My services for all devices before we run any diagnostic tools. We can disable it for you or follow these directions to do so.

  • Consider changing your password. You’ll need to provide your device password in order for Maccentric to troubleshoot issues. So that you’re comfortable with this, consider changing your password to something you’re comfortable sharing, then changing it back once the repair is complete.

  • Leave peripherals, keyboards and displays at home. We have everything we need to charge, troubleshoot and use your device. Bring only your device in and leave the rest at home.
